Happy Tails animal welfare association is an NGO (Non-governmental Organisation) , based in Nafpaktos region in Greece, dedicated to rescuing and fostering homeless animals who are in need of medical care and shelter.
Since our inception in 2014, hundreds of stray, abandoned and abused animals have been welcomed into our shelter, with the intention to always protect, provide medical care and daily essentials until we find their forever home.
Happy Tails shelter is run exclusively by volunteers, and relies solely on our own personal funding and donations. Our association does not receive help from the authorities, hence our shelter has reached its full capacity as we struggle to cope with the daily care of our fostered animals, both financially, as well as mentally. With very few people willing to help with volunteering or fostering, and with an overwhelming amount of stray cats and dogs in the surrounding areas of Nafpaktos, we need your help to continue our volunteer work.
FEW STEPS FOR A NEW HOME
HOW TO SUPPORT US
HAPPY TAILS is dedicated to volunteering in animal welfare, pet rescue, providing shelter, food and medicine. We are looking for people to join our team and assist with our hard daily work. If you are interested in volunteer work and/or providing a temporary home for our pets, please contact us.
Become a foster care parent today and help save the lives of more than 100 vulnerable dogs, cats and other animals in need. Even though we take very good care of our animals in the shelter, a foster home is a less stressful environment than a shelter kennel. Moreover, placing dogs in temporary families, allows us to learn more about the dog so we can match them with the best adoptive home.
